The Starting Point Uploader
"Starting Point Uploader" is a private tool used only by Starting Point to publish its own videos to its own YouTube channel through the YouTube API Services. It is not offered to the public and no other person signs in to it.
With the channel owner's permission, it uses the YouTube API to upload our videos, set their titles, descriptions, thumbnails and subtitles, and read back the status of those uploads. It does not read, collect or store any data about viewers or any other YouTube user.
The only credential it keeps is the channel owner's authorization token, stored on our own computer and never shared or sold. You can revoke that access at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions or through the Google security settings page.
The tool's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Data retention and deletion
The uploader stores no personal data about anyone. The only stored item is the channel owner's OAuth authorization token, kept on our own computer in a file only its owner can read. It is deleted immediately when access is revoked (at myaccount.google.com/permissions) or when we stop using the tool. Videos, titles and descriptions we upload are our own content and live on YouTube, where they can be deleted at any time in YouTube Studio.
If you believe we hold any data about you, or want it deleted, email hello@startingpointstory.com; we will reply and delete it within 7 days.
YouTube and Google
Our videos are published on YouTube. By watching them on YouTube you are subject to the YouTube Terms of Service, and Google's handling of your data is described in the Google Privacy Policy.

This website has no accounts, forms, cookies or analytics. If you email us, we use your message only to reply.
